Liverpool YouTubers react to a 2-3 defeat at Fenerbahçe

Liverpool lost 3-2 at Fenerbahçe on Wednesday night, and the Kop rooms spent Thursday arguing about a lead they held twice and still somehow left in Istanbul. Trey Nyoni scored first, Alexander Isak scored second, and Mason Greenwood, Archie Brown and Vedat Muriqi answered all three. Nine points from four Champions League games. First Champions League loss of the Iraola era. Six fan YouTubers watched it so you don't have to.

TheRedmenTV and the Turkey duck

TheRedmenTV called it what it was: another night that refused to break the habit. "Just can't seem to break this duck we've got at the moment. We're playing away in Turkey twice, at Galatasaray year, here at Fenerbahçe today." Flo had Nyoni's opener and Isak's header, then watched the script flip again. "We've had the lead twice and you've thrown it. Like you you can't afford to do that away from home." The trip was fine. The result was not.

TheKopTV and the lead that would not stick

TheKopTV was already miserable before the analysis started. "Third time third trip to Turkey, third loss in Turkey." Greg's problem was not the defeat so much as the manner. "What do we do? We absolutely piss about." Cody Gakpo's intervention on the second equaliser got the sharpest line: "Gakpo, don't know what he's doing for that header." The guest cut it shorter still. "Can't lose when you've had the lead twice. It's mad."

AnfieldAgenda and the set-piece charge sheet

AnfieldAgenda went straight for the defending. Lewis's thesis was simple: all three Fenerbahçe goals came from set pieces. "The first being because of how the wall was set up according to it bouncing off of Jac who rotated too much catching Allison off guard." Then a tame corner, then Muriqi winning the aerial against three red shirts. "So why are we allowing ourselves to be bullied at every possible setpiece situation?" Andoni Iraola told BBC Sport the same thing in cleaner language: cheap goals, messy goals. The rooms already had the charge sheet written.

The Liverpool Prophet and the first Iraola call-out

THE LIVERPOOL PROPHET did not soften it. "That was a disaster, man. That was an absolute disaster tonight." His new angle was the manager. "I've got to be honest, that's this is the first time I really call out Iola, but his lineup wasn't great." Rotation before a Sunday at Crystal Palace made sense on paper; Istanbul made it look like a punt. Isak scored within minutes of arriving, and the defence still found a way to gift the night back. "Some worrying signs there with Allison and the defense."

AnfieldRoadTV and the unfinished jobs

AnfieldRoadTV kept circling the same failure mode. Liverpool went ahead through Nyoni, went ahead again through Isak, and both times the lead lasted about as long as a Fenerbahçe set piece. "The Liverpool players again not the greatest in terms of we taken the lead twice so far tonight and we couldn't get it over the line." He liked the idea of practising for Fenerbahçe's strengths and hated watching those strengths cash in anyway. Brown at the far stick. "Harsh lessons in in regards to sloppy defensive errors."

LFC Agenda, Trey Nyoni and the Alisson watch

LFC Agenda at least found a silver lining before the inquest. "It was young Trey Neoni. So, that's him getting his first senior goal, I'm pretty sure." Then the weekly feature kicked in. "What's becoming now a weekly feature component of this podcast, Jez, which is our Allison watch." Free headers six yards out. No shout for Gakpo on the second equaliser. A keeper with a Liverpool legend's résumé suddenly in the conversation for the wrong reasons. The rooms agree on the facts: Nyoni and Isak did their bits, Iraola's side still cannot close a European night in Turkey, and Crystal Palace on Sunday arrives with the defence already on trial. Twice ahead. Still beaten.
