Spurs host Crystal Palace in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 17:30 GMT on Saturday, and the fan YouTubers on both sides have arrived at an unfamiliar place: Spurs are the ones in form. Two league wins on the trot, Coventry and then 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, followed by a press conference in which Roberto De Zerbi spent most of his time telling everyone to calm down. Palace arrive off a 1-0 Carabao Cup win at Fulham that bought Pierre Sage some breathing space and not much else.
Spurs: three in a row, and nobody dares say it out loud
WeAreTottenhamTV have done their homework. A win would be Spurs' first run of three straight league wins since February 2025, and the panel even dug up Burnley beating West Ham, West Brom and Watford in 2018 so they could sell "the three Cs" as a record worth chasing. That is what a starved fanbase looks like. The tactical bit is sharper: Palace's narrow 3-4-3 with wing-backs pinned to the touchline, and a real worry that Jean-Philippe Mateta can bully van de Ven and van Hecke on his own if the midfield doesn't track. Prediction: 2-0, and "Dr Tottenham has officially retired."
The same channel's upload of De Zerbi's embargoed section is the funnier watch. Asked whether Mateus Fernandes now reminds fans of Luka Modrić, he pointed out that a fortnight ago the same player was being called a disaster, and that he had told him "don't listen the media". One good game and you're Modrić, one bad one and you can't play, was the gist. Asked how Savio would fit back in after the international break: "It's my problem, not your problem."
Spurs: the nerves under the optimism
Durag Diaries is the corrective. The room expects Palace to sit in and hit on the counter, one host says flatly that he doesn't trust Kinsky, and both note that the recent goals have come from outside the box, which is lovely until it isn't. Both land on a narrow Spurs win, 1-0 or 2-1, with Marmoush tipped to come off the bench and nick it.
HenryTalksTottenham has skipped the nerves and gone straight to fixture-list maths. It feels like Christmas, he says: a win at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea and Arsenal both out of the Carabao Cup, Maddison and Udogie available, and Xavi Simons possibly back at the end of December. He counts five of the next six against sides in a similar spot or below, and reminds everyone his top-four call was labelled outrageous. He would like that on the record.
Crystal Palace: Sage, Fulham and the Spurs exam
BackOfTheNest call the Fulham win what it was: under the cosh for long spells, settled by one sharp Eddie Nketiah finish, with Dean Henderson back in goal and shouting at everyone. The bigger conversation is Sage. One host relays the line that he needed Fulham and Spurs to keep his job; the other is keeping him regardless, pointing to fans at the game singing his name and a kinder run of fixtures after Tottenham. They also remind themselves that Palace won on their last two trips to Spurs, which cheers them up more than expected. Predictions: 1-1, plus a Palace win the other host can't quite remember picking, either 3-2 or 2-1.
Eagle-Eyed Football have handed theirs to the other side, a Spurs match preview with @dejispurs and @MannyMensahMM tagged. There are no captions on this one, so no quotes from us.
The argument: Spurs momentum or Palace's habit?
Spurs fans want a statement and are terrified of asking for one. Palace fans would take a point and a manager who survives the weekend. De Zerbi has already written the review for whichever way it goes: one game and you're Modrić, one game and you're a disaster.
